After the plane took off, we literally started zooming forward in time. Throughout ten hours, we would travel into a time zone eight hours forward from Nashville.
Even though it was past midnight, I still had a lovely pasta dinner, and then I settled in, preparing for the nine hours left in our journey. Throughout the flight, I watched four movies and got a bit of sleep in.
After a scrambled eggs and fruit breakfast, we landed in Tel Aviv at 5:00 PM local time, so it was still morning back in Nashville. However, I was crazy tired all the same.
After exiting the plane, we went through customs, and while it was a slightly lengthy process, it wasn’t as intense as I feared. We then collected our bags and headed outside to board our bus to Tiberius, located by the Sea of Galilee.
After meeting our tour guide, Ami, and driving for about an hour, we got off the bus and checked into the Caesar Hotel. We had a nice dinner and a communion service to wrap up the day.
It’s been a great day, and I’m excited to begin touring tomorrow.
