Today was a day at sea and we intended to get up around 8:30 AM. The ship’s time moved forward one hour at 2:00 AM and we mistakenly thought our phones would automatically adjust since we were connected to the ship’s WiFi.

However since our phones did not update, we actually got up at 9:30 AM and missed breakfast in the Main Dining Room. This was probably not a bad thing as we could all use the extra sleep.

We ended up in the Windjammer Marketplace on deck 11, which was still quite good. I had a small waffle, eggs, sausage, danish, and some really good Lavazza coffee.

From there Kate went to a towel folding demonstration and a napkins folding class while the rest of us went back to the room to get ready for a day of lounging by the pool. Kate demonstrated her new napkin folding skills later at dinner by making things like a heart, candlestick, and cat’s ears.

We ended up on deck 12 and mostly laid in the sun while listening to the activities and music around the pool. Sara and I got in the pool a couple of times and the water was really, really cold but pretty refreshing on a hot sunny day. Sara and I also grabbed some soft serve ice cream from deck 11 which was yummy. Kate came and said hi to us after her classes but went and found a chair in shade on deck 11 to read.

After a while Olivia, Kate, and Sara went to get some lunch in the Windjammer while I stayed on deck. When they came back, Olivia brought me a plate of lamb schwarma, fries, and tasty deserts. I ended up getting a little singed from the sun even though I used sunscreen. The sun was pretty intense.

We headed back down to our room around 4:00 PM to get cleaned up so Kate and Sara could go to Family Karaoke at 5:30 PM in the Star Longe. We found that Amron had left our second towel animal of the week, which was a teddy bear.

I went with Kate and Sara to karaoke and they sang a duet on What is This Feeling from the musical Wicked. Kate sang the part of Galinda and Sara sang the part of Elphaba.

I know I’m biased but they killed it. Several people told them how good they did as they were coming off stage, when we left the lounge, and even later outside the lounge.

After karaoke, we met up with Olivia to take some photos around the boat before dinner.

Dinner was in the Main Dining Room and it was French night. As I mentioned earlier, Kate showed off her napkin folding skills and made cat ears for Sara.

For food, I had caesar salad, beef tenderloin, and crème brûlée with decaf coffee. Another great meal in the Main Dining Room.
After dinner we went to the 9:30 PM show in the Royal Theater featuring Steve Rollins. His show was fantastic and so funny!
